About the Role

G4S Australia is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Security Officer to join our team in Court Services. As a Security Officer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and security of the courts, tribunals, and the people who attend them.

Key Responsibilities
  • Providing Exceptional Customer Service: You will be responsible for providing a high level of customer service to anyone entering the court, including judges, lawyers, litigants, and members of the public.
  • Conducting Security Screening: You will conduct x-ray screening, use metal detectors, and search individuals for prohibited items to ensure the safety and security of the court.
  • Roving Security Patrols: You will conduct roving security patrols within and external to the building to deter and detect any potential security threats.
  • Conflict Resolution and Negotiation: You will be responsible for resolving conflicts and negotiating with individuals to ensure the safety and security of the court.
  • First Response to Incidents: You will be the first point of contact in the event of an incident and will be responsible for responding to and managing the situation.
  • Access and Control Room Management: You will be responsible for managing the access and control rooms to ensure that only authorized personnel have access to sensitive areas of the court.
Requirements
  • Certificate II or III in Security Operations: You will need to hold a Certificate II or III in Security Operations to be eligible for this role.
  • Current Victorian Security Licence: You will need to hold a current Victorian security licence to work in this role.
  • Current First Aid Accreditation: You will need to hold current first aid accreditation to be eligible for this role.
