Transport Project Executive Role

This key position plays a pivotal part in ensuring the delivery of critical road projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing expertise for project planning, design, procurement, contract development and execution of works, surveillance; complex stakeholder engagement; coupled with effective financial management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Defines tasks to be delivered to meet agreed outcomes;
  • Coordinates and guides others in the execution of work activities;
  • Takes steps to add value for the client or stakeholder;
  • Liaises with stakeholders and ensures their needs are met;
  • Ensures that day-to-day planning and work processes are in line with team/organisation strategy;

  • Project delivery skills, including coordinating and guiding others;
  • Stakeholder management skills, including adding value and liaising with stakeholders;
  • Business and commercial skills, including understanding associated costs and seeking efficient ways of operating;
  • Interpersonal skills, including understanding motivations, needs and wants of stakeholders and their impact on service delivery;
  • Strategic planning skills, including ensuring day-to-day planning aligns with team/organisation strategy;
