Senior Ecologist/Botanist

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Senior Botanist or Ecologist to lead ecological assessments, environmental approvals, and contribute to conservation planning. The successful candidate will provide expert advice on various projects in Victoria.

This is an excellent opportunity for you to make a genuine impact on how we work and deliver environmental consulting solutions across Australia.

  • Design and lead delivery of ecological survey programs tailored to client needs.
  • Prepare high-quality technical reports, including ecological impact assessment, vegetation mapping, and offsets advice.
  • Lead multi-disciplinary teams to deliver complex projects.
  • Provide expert advice on Victorian biodiversity legislation.
  • Support junior staff in fieldwork, data analysis, and reporting.
  • Liaise with clients, regulators, and stakeholders to ensure project delivery aligns with client and regulator needs.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Tertiary qualifications in botany, ecology, environmental science, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in ecological consulting or a related field.
  • Demonstrated expertise in Australian ecosystems.
  • Strong understanding of environmental legislation and policy framework.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deliver high-quality reports on time and within budget.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
