IT Security Specialist Job Opportunity

Key Position for Vulnerability Management and Cybersecurity Experts

We are seeking a skilled IT professional with in-depth knowledge of managed services and mid-tier client needs.

  • Implement proactive patching on various applications to support clients' vulnerability management plans
  • Collect and compile data to support regular cybersecurity-related reporting activities
  • Conduct thorough health checks on existing client solution implementations, including Security Awareness Training Platforms, EDR (Endpoint Detection and Response), Firewalls, and Application Control
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for security-related issues to customers based in Australia
  • Maintain documentation concerning security procedures, processes, and incidents
  • Assist in conducting post-incident reviews and implementing corrective actions
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in a cybersecurity or a related role, with a focus on vulnerability management, patching, and incident response
  • Knowledge and understanding of common security frameworks, such as NIST Cybersecurity Framework, ISO 27001, or CIS Controls
  • Familiarity with security tools and technologies, including EDR, Firewalls, and Application Control solutions
  • A general knowledge of technical infrastructure from desktop to firewall, including LAN & WAN networking principles
  • Experience working with an IT outsourcer or managed service provider (MSP)
  • An understanding of ticketing systems and customer service principles
  • Excellent spoken and written communication skills in English
Qualifications:
  • Possession of certifications will give you an advantage for this role
  • CompTIA Security+
  • Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), or equivalent
