Job Description:
This is an exciting opportunity to join Northern Health Authority as a Theatre Nurse Specialist. We are seeking a skilled and experienced nurse to deliver high-quality patient care in our operating theatre environment.
About the Role:
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional care to patients undergoing surgical procedures. This will involve working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure smooth operation of the theatre suite.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality patient care in accordance with professional standards and organisational policies.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of quality improvement initiatives within the theatre suite.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patient care and treatment plans.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Current Nursing registration with AHPRA
- Post Graduate qualifications in Peri-operative Nursing or equivalent
- Highly developed verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- A minimum of 12 months experience in a theatre setting
