The Splunk team in Canberra is seeking an experienced Strategic Account Manager to join our successful sales team. This role will focus on developing new business and expanding key government accounts in the region.

As a customer-centric and sales-focused individual, you will possess a measurable track record in building, managing, and delivering outstanding sales results. Your experience working in a fast-growing tech environment, ideally with a focus on government clients, will be highly valued.

Your Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and execute plans to acquire new business and expand existing relationships with government accounts in the Canberra market.
  2. Consistently deliver on forward-thinking license, support, and service revenue quotas, both quarterly and yearly.
  3. Prioritize strong partnerships with customers as they embark on their Digital transformation journeys.
  4. Collaborate closely with our Partner team to ensure seamless integration with our partners and distributors.
  5. Work effectively with cross-functional teams to achieve maximum account penetration and strategic account planning.
  6. Provide accurate and timely reporting on pipeline and forecasts, adhering to monthly and quarterly deadlines.
  7. Lead pricing and business terms negotiations with large commercial enterprises by emphasizing value and engaging with various Splunk business areas.
  8. Leverage and collaborate with sales engineering and professional services teams to best position Splunk's offerings in the market.

We're Seeking Candidates with:

  1. A considerable background in software sales within B2B environments, specifically in the Canberra market.
  2. Established relationships within government accounts and a strong network within the Canberra market.
  3. A proven ability to manage and develop a high-activity 20+ account load.
  4. Confidence in building relationships and selling at the C-Suite level.
  5. A solid understanding of the importance of forecasting commitments and accuracy.
  6. Exceptional time management, interpersonal, written, and presentation skills.
  7. Meaningful software experience from one of the following areas: IT systems, enterprise or infrastructure management, application development and management, security, and/or analytics.
  8. Experience navigating CRM systems efficiently (SalesForce).
