About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Child Development Specialist to join our team. As a Child Development Specialist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality services to children and their families. You will work closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure that patients receive comprehensive care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Undertake routine clinical practice within established protocols to achieve patient-focused outcomes
- Apply increasing clinical judgement to more complex cases under clinical supervision
- Provide support and training to less experienced practitioners, allied health assistants, students, and volunteers in the delivery of clinical services
- Contribute to the development of clinical practices, procedures, and protocols within multidisciplinary teams
- Liaise with patients, their families/carers, and external agencies to facilitate patient-centered care
- Identify, develop, and participate in quality improvement activities to continually enhance clinical services and patient outcomes
Requirements:
- A degree in social work or a related field that provides eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW)
- Experience in provision of social work services, preferably in a healthcare setting
- Demonstrated clinical practice and application of clinical judgement in the provision of high-quality, evidence-based, patient-centered care
- Effective communication skills and ability to work co-operatively with professional and multidisciplinary teams, patients, and carers to achieve optimal outcomes
