Our organisation seeks a Risk and Compliance Specialist to support the development of risk management frameworks and strategies.

This role involves conducting regular risk assessments, providing reports to senior leadership, and reviewing contracts and agreements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Developing organisational risk frameworks and management strategies.
  • Conducting risk assessments and providing regular updates to senior stakeholders.
  • Reviewing, drafting, and negotiating contracts and agreements.
  • Ensuring regulatory compliance and managing audits and queries.
  • Providing ongoing support with governance processes.
  • Building a risk-aware culture through training and communication.
  • Collaborating with internal stakeholders and external experts.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Tertiary qualification in Law, with current admission as a legal practitioner.
  • Additional qualifications in Risk Management or Governance are highly regarded.
  • Demonstrated experience (5+ years) in providing in-house legal counsel.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement organisational risk frameworks.
  • Strong expertise in contract law and regulatory compliance.
  • Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to provide practical advice.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Deep understanding of Australian governance, legal, and compliance frameworks.

We require a federal police check as an essential selection component for this role.
