Medical Imaging Professional

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Imaging Professional to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to work in a dynamic environment and contribute to the delivery of high-quality patient care.

This role involves performing diagnostic x-ray examinations, producing images across various modalities, and informing patients about imaging procedures. The successful candidate will also be responsible for advising radiologists or senior medical staff of patient findings requiring immediate clinical attention, recording patient data and reports accurately into electronic medical records, and providing training, supervision, and coaching to undergraduate and graduate radiographers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform diagnostic x-ray examinations using various modalities.
  • Inform patients about imaging procedures and respond to questions and concerns.
  • Advise radiologists or senior medical staff of patient findings requiring immediate clinical attention.
  • Record patient data and reports accurately into electronic medical records.
  • Provide training, supervision, and coaching to undergraduate and graduate radiographers.
About the Role:

This position offers ongoing professional development in a comprehensive medical imaging practice fully integrated with a university-owned hospital. We offer a range of services including MRI, CT, X-Ray, Ultrasound, Nuclear Medicine, PET, and more.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Medical Imaging Technology.
  • Experience in Radiology and provision of Medical Imaging services.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively manage workloads.
  • Flexible attitude with the ability to adapt to changing environments.
Conditions:
  • Mandatory MQ Health Immunisation screening.
  • Valid NSW Working with Children Check.
  • Registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • Criminal History Check.
  • Current EPA license.

This position is open to Australian citizens, permanent residents, and those currently residing in Australia with full working rights.
