About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Solution Architect to join our team at Autodesk. As a key member of our consulting services, you will be responsible for defining and integrating technical solutions that drive business value for our customers in the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) industries.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead Discovery Process: Collaborate with customers to understand their business challenges and requirements, and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Technical Architecture: Develop and implement technical architectures that meet customer business needs, leveraging industry-standard methodologies and frameworks.
  • Proof of Concept: Develop proof-of-concept applications to demonstrate feasibility and de-risk further development.
  • Change Management: Apply change management knowledge to ensure successful deployment of Autodesk solutions.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with internal account teams and customers to understand how Autodesk solutions fit into broader programs of work.
  • Effort Estimation: Estimate required effort and resources for solution development and implementation.
  • Liaison: Serve as a liaison between customer IT and business stakeholders.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and provide oversight for solution development and implementation teams.
  • Code Reviews: Participate in code reviews to ensure high-quality solutions.
  • Trusted Advisor: Establish trusted advisor relationships with customers to provide guidance and support.
  • Technology Trends: Stay up-to-date with technology trends affecting customers and represent Autodesk solutions at conferences, in whitepapers, and blogs.
  • Continuous Improvement: Collaborate with our teams to continuously improve reference architectures and solutions.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Architecture/Engineering/Construction-related field.
  • Experience: 5+ years of software engineering experience and 5+ years of industry experience in AEC.
  • Technical Skills:.NET skills, experience working on complex customer-facing web and desktop applications, and excellent communication skills.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Database knowledge, data visualization skills, big data technologies experience, cloud platform experience, and architecture assessment methods knowledge.
