Job Description

The changing climate presents unprecedented risks and shifts in business models as companies adapt to meet the needs of climate-impacted consumers and markets. As a Principal Consultant, you will work with clients as a subject matter expert, leading teams, managing project budgets, and being a trusted advisor. You will help businesses address the climate challenge by integrating climate strategy into sustainability, risk management, and corporate processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead project teams on end-to-end project delivery, including stakeholder facilitation, executive presentations, and quality assurance.
  • Provide expert advice on climate risk assessment, scenario analysis, financial analysis, and adaptation strategy.
  • Develop and implement strategies that respond to the decarbonizing economy and build resilience in the face of warming and more volatile weather.
  • Work closely with clients to understand their climate-related challenges and opportunities.

Requirements

  • 5-10 years' experience in climate risk and strategy, including physical/transition risk assessment, scenario analysis, financial analysis, and adaptation strategy.
  • Extensive experience in leading project teams and managing client relationships.
  • High level of familiarity and proven experience with climate disclosure regimes, including TCFD, ASRS, CSRD.
  • Well-developed understanding of the drivers of business' response to climate change, including local and global policy settings, investor expectations, regulatory requirements, technological innovation, social license, and community concerns.
