Remote Census Management Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Census Operations Manager to lead our field operations in remote regions of Australia.

The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and managing the census collection activities within their area of responsibility, ensuring high-quality field operations and meeting deadlines.

Key responsibilities include project management, providing training and support to teams, conducting quality checks, and maintaining workplace health and safety compliance.

This role requires strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing teams and leading operational projects, with excellent knowledge of local areas and communities.

About the Role

As a Census Operations Manager, you will play a vital role in ensuring the success of the 2026 Census in remote regions of Australia.

Key qualities and experience required for this role include:

  • Strong project management skills, particularly in an operational setting.
  • Leadership and people management skills, including recruitment, training, and implementing WHS practices within a team.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to connect with communities and stakeholders.
  • Sound local area knowledge and the ability to read and navigate maps.
