Global Logistics Coordinator Role

As a skilled professional, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth import and export of goods. Your primary responsibility will be to manage enquiries from clients and overseas agents regarding import and export services.

This position requires strong communication and organizational skills, as well as an ability to work efficiently under minimal supervision. You must also have advanced computer skills, particularly with systems related to imports and exports.

Some of your responsibilities may include:

  • Managing client and agent enquires effectively
  • Providing accurate pricing and quotations
  • Recording container movements promptly
  • Ensuring Customs and Quarantine Department requirements are met
  • Coordinating with clients on Customs, Quarantine and country-specific requirements
  • Keeping systems up-to-date with relevant information
  • Accurate and timely invoicing
  • Responding efficiently to client and agent queries

To succeed in this role, you should have experience in international importing and exporting, as well as success in managing client expectations in a service delivery environment. Strong relationship-building skills and negotiation abilities are also essential.

Requirements

Our ideal candidate has the following qualifications and skills:

  • 2+ years' experience in imports and exports environment
  • Household goods experience (advantageous)
  • Advanced computer skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Relationship building skills including negotiation and conflict resolution
  • Ability to prioritize workload and meet timelines under minimal supervision
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Strong estimating experience
  • At least 2 years' experience in a similar role in a medium to large-size organization
