This role sits within our In-Life crew responsible for building a digital-first customer experience. From web to native mobile app experiences, up and down the full banking stack, you will bring your skills to the table and deliver capabilities that our customers love.

Be part of our journey

You will be pivotal in shaping the end-to-end customer experience by designing and developing microservices, data access layers, GraphQL types, managing new and existing REST APIs, and integrating third-party APIs. You will manage risks using feature toggles, continuous deployments, and effective automated testing. Our focus is on modern software development practices (AI-assisted development, type checking, rapid testing, monorepos) to empower our tech teams with maximum impact.

As a Full Stack Software Engineer, you will create well-engineered, scalable, and reliable solutions. You will also be involved in working on automated testing, ensuring our code is robust and maintainable. Your role will be crucial in maintaining high system standards and contributing to its continuous improvement and evolution.

• Have expertise in building unit, integration, and end-to-end tests, and understand how to make them effective

• Are comfortable mentoring junior engineers, sharing knowledge to uplift and improve software development practices

• Are team players willing to perform peer design/code reviews applying software reuse principles and developing creative solutions to debt management

• Can demonstrate coding, design, debugging, and problem-solving skills confidently

Tech Skills

Our team utilizes a range of tools, languages, and frameworks. While we do not expect you to know everything, experience or exposure to these technologies will set you up for success in this role

• TypeScript, NodeJS, NextJS, GraphQL, React

• AWS or Azure knowledge

• Containerization, such as Docker or Kubernetes

• CI/CD tooling such as GitHub, TeamCity, Artifactory, Octopus Deploy

• Splunk or Observability experience

• Automation test frameworks such as Selenium or Playwright
