Case Manager for Kinship Families

This is a part-time role working 4 days per week with a fixed term to September 2026. You will be based at our office in Bendigo and work as part of the wider home-based care team.

Your key responsibilities include:

  • Preparing comprehensive assessments for kinship placements to ensure the best possible outcomes for children and their families
  • Providing support to kinship carers and children to promote stability, safety, and developmental needs through regular casework and communication
  • Assessing and providing family services support to newly established carers and occasionally children and young people to address their specific needs
  • Liaising and making referrals with and to other professionals to ensure a cohesive approach to care and service delivery

Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong assessment writing skills to produce accurate and informative reports
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with carers, children, and other professionals
  • Able to work collaboratively with carers and other professionals to achieve common goals and improve outcomes for children and families
  • Knowledge of intergenerational trauma and its impact on kinship carers to provide informed support and guidance
