At Downer Group, we are seeking a skilled Maintenance Train Technician to join our team in Auburn, NSW. With a 10-year contract, you will have the opportunity to grow and develop your career in the rail industry.

This full-time, fixed-term role is a critical component of our multi-skilled team, responsible for ensuring the delivery and reliability of rolling stock at our Auburn facility.

Key Responsibilities:

- Ensure trains enter service on time and defect-free, while maintaining documentation to drive the Downer standard of work.

- Perform defect rectification and routine maintenance on rolling stock.

- Participate in a 24/7 rotating shift roster, allowing for a balanced work-life schedule.

- Complete a 3-month training and development phase to ensure technical competence and safety.

- Plan and execute tasks efficiently, with a focus on safe completion.

About You:

- Hold Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) minimum level 3 aligned Mechanical or Electrical Trade qualifications.

- Demonstrate ability to work in a fast-paced environment, possess strong computer skills, and knowledge of IT systems.

- Showcase excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a commitment to ensuring a safe workplace.
