Launch your career in law with our comprehensive Trainee Legal Assistant Program.

About the Role

Are you a business administration or secretarial school graduate eager to start your professional journey? If so, we invite applications for our 9-month Trainee Legal Assistant Program commencing on Tuesday 27 January 2026.

This program offers valuable hands-on training and development opportunities, allowing you to gain insight into different areas of the firm through rotations across three legal teams. You will also receive:

  • A comprehensive orientation and learning program tailored to enhance your skills and knowledge;
  • A dedicated buddy/coach within each rotation to guide you throughout tasks and offer advice when needed;
  • A Team Leader who will support and coach you throughout the program and beyond.

Upon successful completion, you will be placed in a permanent Legal Assistant role within one of our legal teams.

Program Details

Key dates include:

  • Applications open on Monday 15 September and close on Monday 13 October 2025;
  • Offers made the week commencing Monday 3 November 2025.
Requirements

To be eligible for this opportunity, applicants must possess:

  • Certificate III in Business Administration, Advanced Diploma of Business (Legal Practice) or equivalent qualification;
  • Excellent spelling and grammar skills;
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
