Mental Health Educator Role Overview

The Mental Health Educator will play a crucial part in collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to establish a Mental Health Framework for patients. This role will require input into all aspects of developing a Primary Health Mental health service, including eMRS workflows, training and education, policies and procedures, and clinical treatment pathways.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to establish a Mental Health Framework for patients.
  • Develop and implement eMRS workflows, training and education, policies and procedures, and clinical treatment pathways.
  • Support the setup of a Virtual Care Centre clinical operations department.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor of Nursing with post-graduate qualifications in Mental Health Nursing.
  • Current unconditional AHPRA registration.
  • Min 5 years of clinical experience working in Mental health, preferably in a forensic setting.
  • Strong understanding of mental health assessment tools, diagnostic criteria, and evidence-based treatment modalities.
  • Experience with electronic medical record systems, preferably in a healthcare setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to write clinical policies and procedures.
