Director Operations Role

This is a permanent opportunity to lead the operations of Sydney Metro M1 line, working collaboratively with Northwest Rapid Transit and Metro Trains through our Public Private Partnership.

About the Role
  • Provide leadership, oversight, and management of operations team focused on delivery and performance, contract management, operational readiness, customer experience, and communications.
  • Lead an integrated cross-functional team to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient metro passenger services.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership teams to drive delivery of a world-class metro line with a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Partner with matrixed resources from across Sydney Metro and Transport cluster to support existing and future metro lines.
About You
  • You hold a tertiary qualification in Business, Management, Engineering, or equivalent industry experience in railway operations.
  • You have a strategic mindset with big picture thinking and executive-level leadership and management skills.
