Job Title

Social Support Professional



We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Social Support Professional to join our team. As a key member of our support network, you will play a vital role in enhancing the lives of individuals with disabilities.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality support services to clients, focusing on their individual needs and goals. This may include assisting with daily living activities, transportation, respite care, and communication with family members and healthcare professionals. You will also be required to maintain accurate records and participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in the disability sector.

Requirements
  • A minimum of high school or equivalent education
  • Certificate 2 or 4 in individual support or willingness to work towards completion
  • Lived experience or paid experience working with people with disabilities
  • Availability for day shifts, night shifts, sleepovers, and weekends
  • Strong understanding of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) and its guidelines
  • Understanding of health and safety regulations
  • Ability to work with a diverse client base, understanding different support needs based on abilities, cultural backgrounds, and language requirements
  • Basic care and first aid skills
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
