Job Role Overview


We are seeking a highly skilled Cost Planning Specialist to join our team at Turner & Townsend.


Key Responsibilities:



  • Work effectively as part of a cost management team to ensure all deliverables are met.
  • Perform cost planning and cost estimating duties, including measurement of quantities based on design drawings.
  • Provide pre-contract cost planning services during design stages of projects.
  • Prepare post-contract progress claims and variation assessments, as well as cost reporting.
  • Engage with the local property market to gain market knowledge for use in the delivery of our services.
  • Commission management to assist in the successful delivery of our services.
  • Integrate with full cost management and project management teams.
  • Able to demonstrate business development skills.

Qualifications and Requirements:



  • A recognised degree qualification in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management is desired.
  • MAIQS/MRICS certification is advantageous.
  • Consultancy environment work experience is desirable.
  • Proficient in the use of CostX.
  • Ability to demonstrate attention to detail.
  • Strong time management skills, quick thinking, and resilience to deal with a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English with excellent report and bid writing skills.
  • Highly motivated and driven, with a passion for delivering to clients, and the ability to work independently.
