We are seeking a skilled GIS Analyst to support the CopperString 2032 project, a $5 billion initiative to connect Queensland's North West Minerals Province to the national electricity grid.
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the project's GIS data, ensuring online and offline GIS interfaces are up-to-date, and producing cartographic and data outputs for stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain the project's GIS data using automated and manual processes.
- Ensure the project's online and offline GIS interfaces are kept up-to-date and relevant.
- Produce cartographic and data outputs to share with project stakeholders.
- Work with data providers to ensure accurate and timely data delivery.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to optimize GIS workflows and data inputs and outputs.
- Provide training and support to GIS users and administer access to web and mobile mapping.
- 3+ years' experience in GIS, with at least 1 year in construction or 3+ years in construction with at least 1 year of GIS experience.
- Esri ArcGIS Desktop/Pro experience essential.
- ArcGIS Online/Enterprise experience desirable.
- Experience with 2D & 3D CAD data and imagery/drone processing ideal.
- Experience using and writing Python scripts, FME Workbenches, and SQL beneficial.
- AutoCAD and Global Mapper experience beneficial.
- Bachelor's Degree in Geographic Information Systems, Surveying, Engineering, Spatial Science, or similar.
- Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently to organise and prioritise demands.
- Demonstrated experience in Microsoft Office Suite applications.
