This 9-month contract position offers a great opportunity for a recent graduate looking to gain further experience. As a Safety Reporting Data Analyst, you will be responsible for fostering strong relationships with stakeholders, taking a service-oriented approach, and improving Virgin Australia's safety performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyse safety data to identify trends and contributing factors.
  • Develop systems, processes, and interfaces to support ongoing safety and fatigue data analysis and reporting.
  • Provide high-level data analysis and recommendations for business requirements and how information systems can improve outcomes for safety data analysis.
  • Analyse methods and alternative models for presenting risk and safety data and initiate actions to solve problems and improve existing systems.

You'll Be Great in This Role If You Have...

  • Experience or working knowledge using data analysis tools, including Excel, SQL, and Power BI.
  • Advanced computer skills in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • A proven ability to research and present data from both familiar and new sources.
  • Effective presentation and facilitation skills.
  • The ability to develop relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent problem-solving, organisational, and critical thinking skills.
  • The ability to work autonomously and make good decisions.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Understanding of airline or Fatigue Management systems would be an advantage.
  • Tertiary qualification in Business, Finance, Data Analytics, or a similar field would be advantageous.
