Senior Supply Chain Operations Manager

A seasoned supply chain professional will have the opportunity to shape and lead a centralised supply chain function within a thriving manufacturing group. This newly created role offers the chance to build processes, frameworks, and policies from the ground up, driving efficiency and collaboration across logistics, inventory, procurement, contract negotiation, warehousing, and distribution.
You will work closely with operations, sales, and site leaders across multiple sites nationally, bringing structure and positive change to the group. With autonomy and support from senior leadership, this is an ideal opportunity for a hands-on leader who thrives on creating impact.
The Role- Develop and implement comprehensive supply chain strategies to drive business growth and efficiency.
- Lead supplier management and contract negotiations across logistics, warehousing, and related services, fostering strong relationships and securing favourable terms.
- Oversee demand planning, forecasting, imports/exports, and inventory optimisation, ensuring seamless supply chain operations.
- Collaborate with sites to centralise and minimise third-party warehousing and distribution, reducing costs and improving service levels.
- Utilise ERP systems (SAP) to monitor performance, track key performance indicators, and improve processes, driving continuous improvement.
- Proven experience in supply chain or logistics management, preferably in a manufacturing or distribution environment.
- Strong skills in supplier management and contract negotiation, with a focus on building long-term partnerships.
- Hands-on, collaborative leadership style, with the ability to coach and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to implement structure and processes in a dynamic environment, driving positive change and continuous improvement.
- Tertiary qualification in business, supply chain, or logistics highly regarded, as well as international export experience.
