About the Role

The Learning Diversity Partner is a key position at Thomas Carr College, responsible for supporting teachers and families in assisting students with additional needs.

This includes students with learning difficulties, disabilities, and impairments, to facilitate their integration into the College community, increase their participation in educational programs, and enhance their social experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with teachers to develop and implement individualized support plans for students with diverse needs.
  • Provide guidance and resources to families to support their child's learning and wellbeing.
  • Work with the College community to promote inclusivity and diversity, and to create a welcoming environment for all students.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external agencies and organizations to access additional support and resources for students.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, families, and external agencies.
  • Knowledge of inclusive education practices and strategies.
  • Experience working with students with diverse needs.
