Residential Service Leader Job Description

Stride Mental Health is a leading provider of mental health services, specializing in working with adults and young people, and in early childhood intervention.

This role involves operational management of a team of Residential Support Workers, including disciplinary measures, grievance, recruitment, and selection, personal career development, statutory and mandatory training, and delegating as appropriate.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of residential recovery and resilience-based models, experience in working with people experiencing mental illness, and the ability to think and act calmly under pressure.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing leadership, practice development, and mentoring sessions to a team of support workers
  • Operational management of a team of Residential Support Workers
  • Facilitating and monitoring the integration and coordination of care for clients
  • Ensuring high standards of client care at all times

The ideal candidate will have a completed degree in a relevant discipline, or equivalent qualifications, and at least 1 year's experience leading a team or a Senior Support Worker with demonstrated experience mentoring and coaching other support workers.
