This is an exciting opportunity to step into an Automation Engineer role and contribute to the delivery of optimisations across the key food manufacturing facility in Laverton, VIC.
As an Electrical and Automation Engineer, you will report to the Engineering Manager and be responsible for ensuring the reliability and safe operation of all plant electrical, control, and automation systems.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Delivering and driving process developments and improvements.
- Leading control system maintenance and reliability activities across the site.
- Scoping and planning for electrical and automation components of capital works.
- Providing technical support and fault-finding expertise across the site.
- Maintaining control system documentation, including schematics, manuals, parameters, and layouts.
- Maintaining spare parts and equipment to cover critical areas.
You will have a degree in Mechatronics, Electrical, or Automation Engineering and proven experience working with high-speed automation equipment, ideally in the food, beverage, or dairy industries.
Demonstrated experience with PLC systems such as Siemens and/or Allen-Bradley Rockwell automation systems is essential.
A sound understanding of Electrical Safety and regulatory requirements is also required.
Strong communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills are necessary for this role.
