The role of Marketing Lead is a vital position that involves overseeing key marketing activities and driving strategic marketing initiatives. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing cross-functional teams, developing effective marketing campaigns, and providing guidance on marketing strategies.

This is an exciting opportunity to work on high-profile projects, such as the Future Public Transport Ticketing System, which aims to transform Victoria's transport network. As Marketing Lead, you will be responsible for ensuring that marketing opportunities are aligned with departmental goals and outcomes.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and executing marketing campaigns that change consumer behaviour and attitudes
  • Creating accurate and engaging marketing materials
  • Ensuring all aspects of marketing campaigns are effectively coordinated, approved, and measured
  • Providing strategic advice on marketing and communication strategies

Working in this role requires strong communication, project delivery, and analytical skills. You will need to communicate with impact, engaging diverse audiences and presenting information with clarity and credibility. With a strong sense of outcomes thinking, you will connect day-to-day work to the organisation's strategic direction and help your team understand how their efforts contribute to community outcomes. Your data literacy will enable you to support evidence-based decision-making, using Excel skills such as pivot tables, formulas, and data visualisation to generate insights under the guidance of subject matter experts.

Essential qualifications and experience include a tertiary qualification or equivalent experience in marketing, campaigns, or a related field. Demonstrated stakeholder relationship skills, ideally in a project environment, are also required.
