Printing Machinist Job Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented printer to join our production team in Perth, Australia.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Set up and operate high-speed printing presses to produce daily and weekly newspapers at a professional standard.
  • Monitor press performance and quality throughout each run, making adjustments as needed.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues to avoid downtime and ensure seamless production.
  • Perform routine maintenance and assist with mechanical repairs when required.
  • Collaborate closely with editorial, prepress, and finishing teams to meet daily deadlines and deliver high-quality products.
  • Ensure safe handling of equipment and materials, adhering to established protocols.

Key Requirements:

  • Prior experience in print production or operating commercial printing equipment is preferred.
  • Mechanical aptitude and comfort working with large machinery are essential.
  • Strong attention to detail and a keen eye for print quality are necessary.
  • The ability to work on your feet and adapt to changing situations is crucial.
  • Flexibility to work night shifts, weekends, or holiday schedules is also required.

Bonus Requirements:

  • Experience with newspaper-specific press equipment is a bonus.
