Job Description:

The purpose of this role is to be part of the mobile experimentation and incubation capability that will demonstrate best practice and partner with feature teams to identify opportunities for mobile innovation, enhanced user experiences, and next generation mobile solutions.

As a Senior Software Engineer - Mobile, you will be capable of designing end-to-end solutions and providing feedback on others' solution designs to ensure they meet operational needs. You will work within a scrum team environment, actively collaborating with and assisting other members of the mobile team in successfully completing their activities while maintaining high standards of code quality and architectural compliance.

This role involves working within a scrum team, coding, analysing, designing, and supporting the existing Connected Propositions mobile application and feature teams. You will participate in identifying process and system improvements for the mobile teams particularly in the native iOS Swift domain.

You will collaborate with the engineering manager and technical team in requirement analysis, design, development, testing and implementation of mobile solutions. Additionally, you will act as an advisor for other mobile developers by providing support and coaching of other team members to ensure team goals are achieved.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work within a scrum team, coding, analysing, designing, and supporting the existing Connected Propositions mobile application and feature teams

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Typically require a tertiary qualification in an IT discipline at degree level. At least 4 years of experience in iOS native Swift Technologies. Strong proficiency in Swift programming language and iOS development frameworks.

Experience with mobile development using languages such as Objective C, Java, Kotlin or .NET Xamarin highly regarded. REST Services and Azure knowledge and experience highly regarded. Good understanding of mobile application architecture principles and design patterns.

Experience with automated testing frameworks and CI/CD pipelines for mobile applications. Strong influencing and collaboration skills required. Strong interpersonal and communication skills at all levels.
