Job Title: Maintenance Officer
About the Role:
The ideal candidate will work under the guidance of the Environmental Services Officer to oversee the coordination and maintenance of facilities. They will ensure all facilities and assets are safely functioning and maintained within a best-practice framework.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure all buildings and properties are maintained to the highest level, including safeguarding from any potential damage or loss.
- Ensure all company furniture, plant and equipment assets are properly maintained and safeguarded from any potential damage or loss.
- Provide quality administration support to the Facilities service provision.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks to prevent equipment failure and minimize downtime.
- Cultivate productive working relationships at all levels.
Qualifications and Experience:
- A demonstrated knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander societies and their cultures.
- A general understanding of the issues that are affecting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in contemporary Australian society.
- Demonstrated record of punctuality, able to use sound judgement and able to work unsupervised.
- Ability to develop and sustain harmonious working relationships with key stakeholders.
- Satisfactory communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Experience in facilities management including maintenance, services and upgrades.
- Decisive listening, influencing and persuasive skills.
