About this Opportunity
The School of Education is looking to strengthen its capacity and leadership in the field of Education through the recruitment of 5 x Continuing Academics, with positions commencing at either Associate Lecturer (ALA) or Lecturer (ALB) levels. These roles will involve teaching and scholarly activities related to learning and teaching. Candidates holding a doctorate should apply for the ALB (Lecturer) position, while those without a doctorate should apply for the ALA (Associate Lecturer) position. A passion for delivering high-quality, innovative teaching and scholarship is essential, along with an understanding of how such teaching and scholarship:
- Informs quality pre-service teacher and early childhood education
- Supports students, educators, administrators, academics, community members, and policymakers in recognizing and acting on their agency
- Incorporates the language, culture, and pedagogical traditions of First Nations peoples
- Advocates for equity and excellence in education

Associate Lecturer/Lecturer Full time (part-time applications will be considered). Teaching Academics with a specialization in Education are encouraged to apply in one or more of the following subject areas:

Essential Criteria
ALA does not require a PhD qualification. A doctoral qualification in a relevant discipline (ALB) Proven high-level teaching skills with a demonstrated reflective and collaborative approach to teaching and an up-to-date knowledge of contemporary educational practices Experience in curriculum development and unit/course coordination Experience in research and/or in the scholarship of learning and teaching (ALB – not essential if applying at level ALA) Demonstrated high-level communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to foster a collegial and supportive working environment and interact with students, staff, and the educational community with cross-cultural sensitivity Educational qualifications with a demonstrated background and/or experience in the relevant curriculum/discipline(s) specified.
