We are seeking an experienced academic leader to spearhead the redevelopment of courses in economics, econometrics, and business statistics. This is a unique opportunity to shape new programs in Business Analytics and Decision Science.

Senior Lecturer in Quantitative Economics and Business Statistics

The successful candidate will have expertise in quantitative methods, including econometrics, causal inference, data science, or machine learning, with a strong focus on applying advanced analytics to real-world problems. They will also have experience designing curriculum that makes quantitative content accessible, engaging, and relevant for diverse business students.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Designing and delivering high-quality courses, supporting student success, and contributing to a culture of teaching excellence;
  • Publishing research in top-tier journals (ABDC A or above), securing funding, and supervising HDR students to advance knowledge and real-world outcomes;
  • Supporting School and University development, including maintaining AACSB accreditation and shaping future directions; and
  • Building strong partnerships that enhance learning and create meaningful impact.

The ideal candidate will possess a PhD in quantitative economics, econometrics, or a related field, with proficiency in statistical and analytical tools such as Python, R, Stata, or SAS, and experience with cloud-based platforms and visualisation tools like Power BI or Tableau.
