We are seeking a friendly and caring Receptionist to join our team at Animal Emergency Centre Gold Coast.

This is a part-time role, 20-25 hours per week, in a fast-paced environment where you will be the first point of contact for pet owners and their animals seeking emergency care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Greet and assist pet owners and their animals with warmth and compassion
  • Manage a multi-line phone system, directing calls to the appropriate departments
  • Schedule appointments and manage patient admissions
  • Verify and update client information in the electronic medical records system
  • Assist with payment processing, insurance verification, and billing inquiries
  • Maintain a clean and organized reception area
  • Collaborate with the veterinary team to ensure efficient patient flow
  • Handle basic administrative tasks, such as data entry and filing
Requirements
  • Available for a range of shifts, including evenings and weekends
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Strong communication abilities, both written and verbal
  • Organised and detail-oriented with good multitasking abilities
  • Proficiency in using office software and basic computer skills
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure in emergency situations
  • Previous experience in a veterinary or medical reception role is a plus
  • A genuine love for animals and a passion for their well-being
