We are seeking a highly skilled Human Resources Generalist to join our team at HR Partners. This is an exciting opportunity to work in the education sector and contribute to the success of our client.
Job SummaryThe Human Resources Generalist will be responsible for providing support to the Leadership Team and teaching and non-teaching staff. The role involves ensuring that employee relations, recruitment, and compliance matters are managed effectively.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate the advertising process for new personnel, including designing and producing advertisements, role descriptions, and selection criteria.
- Assist with shortlisting applicants, including preparing interview questions, coordinating interviews, and providing responses to unsuccessful applicants.
- In conjunction with the CLT, coordinate employment offers and associated documentation.
- Manage the induction process for new staff, including coordinating New Staff Induction Days, preparing induction packs, and producing annual reviews.
- Coordinate procedures and documentation for staff exiting the organization.
- Provide advice and develop processes to guide the CLT on matters related to agreements and awards.
- Offer accurate guidance and assistance to staff regarding employment, salary, and leave entitlements.
- Maintain registers of approved leave requests, record sick leave from daily supervisions, and follow up leave forms for payroll processing.
- Maintain records of FTE/PTE information for all employees, including salary levels, positions of added responsibility, and time release for reporting and budget purposes.
- Support the CLT in developing human resource and staff-related policies and procedures.
- Contribute to the performance review process for teaching staff in accordance with the strategic plan, which includes coordinating qualifying reviews.
- Coordinate the annual review process for non-teaching staff, including preparing documentation, scheduling meetings, training, and updating changes made to role descriptions.
- You must hold and maintain a current Queensland Working with Children Clearance (Blue Card) or be willing to obtain this prior to starting employment.
- Tertiary qualifications in HR are highly regarded for this position.
- Ideal candidates have a minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role.
- Experience working with HR management system TASS is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, is essential.
- Familiarity with Adobe Creative Cloud is beneficial.
- Knowledge of SharePoint for file storage and document management is advantageous.
- Experience in a HR support role, with the ability to lead processes and work independently, is required.
- A covering letter, no longer than 2 pages, outlining your suitability for the role.
- Your current, up-to-date resume, highlighting your experience and qualifications.
- If successful, we require a minimum of 2 professional references.
