About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Wine and Beverage Manager to join our team at The Ritz-Carlton Perth. As a key member of our Food and Beverage team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional wine and beverage experiences to our guests.
Key Responsibilities
- Wine Service and Knowledge
- Issue, open, and serve wine/champagne bottles with precision and flair.
- Answer guest questions or concerns regarding the origin, vintage, and style of various wines.
- Wine List Management
- Update and maintain wine list and MICROS system to ensure accuracy and relevance.
- Wine Pairing and Promotions
- Pair and suggest wines that will best complement menu items.
- Design and implement wine promotions and incentive programs to drive sales and engagement.
- Inventory Management
- Monitor and replenish inventory of wine cellar, equipment, and glassware to ensure optimal stock levels.
- Staff Training and Development
- Train and educate server and bartender staff on wine knowledge and service standards.
Requirements
- Professional Qualification
- Professional qualification for wine and beverage in the hospitality industry.
- Manager Certification
- Approved manager certification from a nationally accredited training provider (inclusive of RSA).
- Food Safety Certification
- Nationally recognized food safety certification for supervisors.
- Experience
- Experience working in a management role in the hospitality industry.
- Experience working in a restaurant or food and beverage outlet required.
