Job Title: Executive Class Principal Position
Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal to lead and manage the education of students in a community through the deployment of resources provided by the Department and the school community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and Manage Education: Ensure the delivery of a comprehensive education program to all students, including the development and implementation of curriculum and instructional strategies.
- Executive Officer of the School Council: Provide advice to the council on educational and other matters, implement council decisions, and provide support and resources for council meetings.
- Financial Management: Establish and manage financial systems in accordance with Department and school council requirements.
- Representation: Represent the Department in the school and the local community.
- Policy and Strategic Planning: Contribute to system-wide activities, including policy and strategic planning and development.
- Resource Management: Manage and integrate the resources available to the school.
- Community Engagement: Appropriately involve staff, students, and the community in the development, implementation, and review of school policies, programs, and operations.
- Reporting: Report to the Department, school community, parents, and students on the achievements of the school and of individual students as appropriate.
Requirements:
- Qualifications: Appropriately qualified individuals currently registered or eligible for registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching.
- Experience: Proven experience in education leadership and management, including experience in leading and managing a school or department.
- Skills: Strong leadership and management skills, including the ability to lead and manage a team, develop and implement policies and procedures, and manage budgets and resources.
