Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Team Supervisor to lead our mobile maintenance team at the Yilgarn Mine. As a Heavy Diesel Fitting leader, you will be responsible for supervising a skilled team, performing servicing, repair, and maintenance of equipment, and providing technical information to staff and operations personnel.

The ideal candidate will have a Certificate III in Heavy Diesel Fitting or equivalent, at least 5 years' mining experience with exposure to leading or supervising mobile maintenance HD Fitters, and a positive leadership style with exceptional time-management skills. Experience in planning servicing, repair, and preventative maintenance of heavy mobile mining equipment is also essential.

  • Supervise a skilled mobile maintenance team following managers and supervisors' directives
  • Perform servicing, repair and maintenance of equipment in accordance with Thiess servicing, lubrication and maintenance systems documentation
  • Source technical information from reference manuals, technical bulletins, and computer-based systems
  • Provide technical information to staff and operations personnel

About You / Qualifications:

  • Certificate III in Heavy Diesel Fitting or equivalent
  • At least 5 years' mining experience with exposure to leading or supervising mobile maintenance HD Fitters
  • Positive leadership style with exceptional time-management skills and the ability to pivot around priorities while guiding and supervising the maintenance team
  • Experience in planning servicing, repair and preventative maintenance of heavy mobile mining equipment
  • Commitment to health and safety policies and procedures
