Key Animator Role

The animation lead is responsible for overseeing an animation team and guiding their work to deliver high-quality performances.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate closely with animation supervisors to ensure convincing performances and motion.
  • Lead the animation team, provide education and mentoring to animators, and offer guidance on project schedules.
  • Work with animation supervisors to assign shots to animators, providing necessary references and ensuring timely delivery.
  • Solve creative and technical issues faced by animators, promoting effective workflow.
  • Coordinate with the Build Department to guarantee that models meet performance requirements.
  • Work with animation supervisors to develop a rig that meets animators' needs for control, functionality, usability, and performance.
  • Set industry standards for high-quality performance and acting within the team.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • At least 6 years of experience in computer-generated imagery (CG), preferably in feature films.
  • Prior experience in leading teams and collaborating directly with clients or directors.
  • Ability to analyze complex problems, interpret 3D layouts, and predict potential issues with assigned tasks.

The ideal candidate should be highly motivated, adaptable, and enthusiastic about animation.
