Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Audio Visual Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing audio visual equipment, providing technical support, and troubleshooting issues.

The Audio Visual Technician will work closely with the IT department to ensure the smooth operation of audio visual and ICT systems. They will also supervise and mentor students in a hands-on environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage audio visual equipment for events, including sound desks, microphones, and projectors.
  • Provide technical support for sound mixing, audio-visual displays, and stage setups.
  • Troubleshoot audio visual issues promptly and efficiently.
  • Collaborate with the IT team to ensure the smooth operation of audio visual and ICT systems.
  • Supervise and mentor students in a hands-on environment.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Qualification or proven expertise in audio visual technology, including sound mixing and microphone placement.
  • Proven experience operating audio visual equipment, including sound desks and projectors, preferably within an educational or similar environment.
  • High-level ICT knowledge and hands-on skills across audio, lighting and stage setup.
  • Strong organisational, planning, and time-management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Hold a current Working With Children Check (WWCC).
