The Lead Consultant Psychiatrist plays a pivotal role in delivering expert psychiatric services across various streams, emphasizing excellence, care, and research within a comprehensive clinical governance framework.
Key responsibilities include providing psychiatric services to the Adult Rehabilitation stream and the Mental Health and Wellbeing Program as directed. Additionally, the consultant will collaborate with the Manager/Team Leader to maintain high standards of service, focusing on excellence, safety, care, staff performance, cost efficiency, research, and education.
- Main Responsibilities:
- Provide psychiatric services to the Adult Rehabilitation stream and the Mental Health and Wellbeing Program as directed.
- Collaborate with the Manager/Team Leader to maintain high standards of service, focusing on excellence, safety, care, staff performance, cost efficiency, research, and education.
Specialized Services:
- Mental Health Specialist Services: Forensic services, Family Violence specialists, Social and Emotional Wellbeing Team, Families where a Parent has a Mental Illness (FaPMI) team, and Personality Disorder Clinical Specialists.
- Brief Intervention Team (BIT) and HOPE.
- Community Care Team.
Qualifications:
- Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists or equivalent postgraduate specialist qualification.
