Senior Mental Health Professional

As a senior mental health professional in Adult Mental Health, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality, person-centred care to individuals engaged with our HOPE initiative. This position is responsible for providing expert clinical leadership in community mental health, offering care that considers the full spectrum of a person's needs—biological, psychological, and social.
Key Responsibilities:- Conducting comprehensive mental health assessments and registering clients appropriately.
- Delivering care aligned with the principles of recovery and the psychosocial model.
- Meeting performance targets, managing demand, and ensuring service accessibility.
- Engaging families and carers in care planning and treatment.
- Maintaining compliance with relevant standards, legislation, and safety frameworks.
- Liaising with key services such as emergency departments, law enforcement, and community support agencies.
- Supporting team development through education, supervision, and professional expertise.
The HOPE initiative provides psychosocial support for people who are identified as having presented with a suicidal or self-harm attempt, or suicidal or intentional self-harm ideation. Our initiative aims to provide follow-up care and support for people who traditionally would not have received such intervention immediately after hospital discharge, with broader referral pathways and targeted psychosocial support.
