**About the Role:**
We are seeking an experienced Senior Investigator to join our Investigations Section at the NIAA. The successful candidate will be responsible for undertaking investigations into alleged or suspected breaches of the CATSI Act and managing related civil and criminal prosecutions.
Main Responsibilities:
As a Senior Investigator, you will be responsible for:
- Undertaking investigations into alleged or suspected breaches of the CATSI Act
- Managing related civil and criminal prosecutions
- Liaising with the CDPP and solicitors to achieve successful civil penalties and other outcomes
- Coordinating and undertaking detailed or sensitive projects that impact on strategic, political, or operational outcomes for the agency
- Managing key stakeholder relationships within and outside the agency
Requirements:
- Minimum Certificate IV in Investigations and/or Diploma in Forensic Accounting/Accounting or Law
- Strong understanding of the issues affecting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to travel to remote, rural, and urban centers
