Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our maintenance team as an apprentice maintenance fitter. This role will provide the successful candidate with the opportunity to learn a skilled maintenance trade and work with a wide range of equipment in a modern food production facility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to safety initiatives to achieve a 100% commitment to safety, health, and wellbeing in the workplace
  • Learn industry best practice for both preventative maintenance and breakdown activities
  • Use of hand tools, electrical and pneumatic powered tools, and equipment
  • Welding (TIG, MIG, MMA) and sheet metal fabrication
  • Work in a workshop environment and on the production floor

Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a genuine interest in engineering or mechanical type trades, display a good basic knowledge of tooling, materials, and mechanical aptitude, and have demonstrated problem solving skills with a hands-on approach.
