The role of Tax Specialist involves preparing and reviewing tax returns, ensuring compliance with Australian regulations.
Key responsibilities include supporting tax planning initiatives to optimize the organization's financial position, managing GST and BAS submissions accurately and on time, providing advice on tax-related matters to internal stakeholders, collaborating with the accounting and finance team to maintain accurate records, and assisting in audits and liaising with external tax advisors as required.
To succeed in this role, candidates must have a strong knowledge of Australian tax laws, including GST and BAS reporting, exceptional attention to detail and analytical skills, proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel, and excellent communication skills to explain complex tax matters clearly.
Required Skills and QualificationsCandidates for this position should have:
