Job Description

  • Oversee the full spectrum of financial activities, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead and mentor a team within the accounting and finance department.
  • Analyse financial data to support strategic planning and decision-making.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to optimise financial processes and controls.
  • Prepare and present detailed financial reports for senior management.
  • Manage cash flow and ensure the organisation's financial stability.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Finance Analyst should have:

  • Support annual budgets, rolling forecasts, and long-term financial planning.
  • Analyse financial performance and variances against budgets and historical data.
  • Prepare management reports and dashboards with key financial metrics.
  • Monitor sales, gross margins, and profitability across regions, channels, and categories.
  • Assess financial impact of promotions, discounts, and pricing strategies.
  • Identify trends, risks, and opportunities to drive commercial improvements.
  • Analyse operational expenses and recommend cost-saving initiatives.
  • Monitor inventory levels, turnover, and shrinkage to meet financial targets.
  • Collaborate with supply chain and merchandising teams to manage working capital.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and support decisions.
  • Contribute to business cases, ROI analysis, and project evaluations.
  • Build and maintain financial models and reports using Excel, SAP, Power BI, or Tableau.
