AFL Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled Senior Legal Bookkeeper/Office Manager to join our client's team in the Sydney CBD.
As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day financial operations of the law firm, including accounts payable/accounts receivable, bank and general ledger reconciliations, month end/EOFY reporting, trust accounting/controlled monies, cashflows, PAYG, BAS and GST, credit card transactions/reconciliations, and petty cash and trust audits.
You will also ensure corporate/legal compliance by renewing business names via ASIC, renewing firm's insurance and practising certificates for lawyers with the Law Society, and assisting with recruitment/HR/staff management.
The ideal candidate will have a diploma/certificate/degree in accounting/bookkeeping, minimum 5-20+ years hands-on experience as a bookkeeper/accountant, and some office administration/management experience.
You will also have worked for a law firm/legal industry with trust accounting experience, used Affinity or Locus accounting software, and have strong numeracy skills, accuracy, and a keen eye for detail.
In addition, you will be efficient, deadline/results-driven, and have a 'do whatever it takes' attitude. You will thrive in a busy fast-paced multi-tasking environment and commit LONG-TERM to a permanent role working in the city-based office in Sydney 5 days/week.

The estimated salary for this role is $90,000-$130,000 per annum.
