We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to support a national initiative in biodiversity and digital infrastructure platforms.

The Role

This is an exciting opportunity for an Indigenous Research Officer to coordinate work with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander reference groups and CSIRO advisory groups. The successful candidate will build trusted relationships with Indigenous communities and knowledge holders, and support respectful, co-designed science and engagement processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate projects with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander reference groups and CSIRO advisory groups.
  • Build strong relationships with Indigenous communities and knowledge holders.
  • Support collaborative and inclusive science and engagement processes.

About the Opportunity

This role provides high-level coordination, administrative, and project support for the national Indigenous Science initiative. The successful candidate will help keep the project on track through planning, scheduling, governance support, and cross-team collaboration.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience in project coordination or administrative support.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A genuine interest in Indigenous knowledge systems, cultural engagement, and Indigenous-led science.

Eligibility

This opportunity is open to Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people with Australian Citizenship.
