From developing engaging activities to facilitating meaningful relationships between residents, families, and volunteers, lifestyle assistants play a vital role in creating a warm and welcoming environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop individualized lifestyle programs based on resident needs, preferences, and goals.
- Lead and participate in activity delivery, ensuring it is engaging and meaningful.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of residents to identify their strengths and areas for growth.
- Maintain accurate documentation of resident participation and engagement.
- Manage and coach the lifestyle team to deliver exceptional outcomes.
Requirements:
- Demonstrated understanding of leisure and lifestyle programming and Aged Care Quality Standards.
- Certificate IV in Leisure and Health.
- Previous experience in a Lifestyle Assistant/Coordinator position (or similar), including dementia care.
- Experience using computerized care management systems (desirable) and strong computer literacy skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
