This is a 12-month fixed-term, part-time parental leave position, providing an exciting opportunity for an experienced ANUM or a motivated Registered Nurse looking for career development.
As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will work collaboratively with the Nurse Unit Manager to manage operational resources, provide clinical leadership, and support the overall management of the unit.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Nurse Unit Manager in managing operational resources and clinical leadership.
- Assist in the overall clinical management and team leadership of the unit.
- Work collaboratively with the Nurse Unit Manager to achieve high-quality clinical outcomes and deliver exceptional patient, family, and staff experiences.
- Be highly accountable, respectful, supportive, and engaging in all interactions with patients, families, and staff.
- Promote productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements:
- Experience as an ANUM or a motivated Registered Nurse looking to step into an ANUM role.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to positively influence and build rapport with all stakeholders.
- Keen to progress your career and learn how to lead a unit, with a willingness to mentor and access internal leadership programs.
- Previous acute or Rehab nursing experience.
- Ability to make autonomous operational business decisions.
- Passionate about employee coaching and development.
- Well-developed and effective cross-department relationship management skills.
- Flexibility to work rotating day and night shift blocks.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent.
- Current unrestricted AHPRA Nursing registration.
